Wazihack has been organized with the collaboration of the UGB incubator, in St Louis, Senegal. During the Wazihack call for proposals, more than 30 teams submitted their projects from all over the country. However, 10 proposals regarding IoT, and innovative aspects were selected.
The 10 proposals which accepted were the most relevant ones according to the purpose of the Hackathon. Among the selected projects, four (04) were already under development, while the six others were just at the stage of early implementation. The number of individuals in each group ranged from three (03) to nine (09) persons per group.
At the end of the last session of presentation, four (04) projects were selected:
first prize was delivered to Track technology which stands at an advanced level of implementation. Three other prizes were awarded in the following order: Sunu Karangué, Smart Poulailler and Smart Nappe.
IoT equipments were awarded to the winners. Ending words were given by Waziup members, pointing out that Waziup’s involvement goes beyond the Wazihack, with a follow-up plan for all projects, and support in terms of sensor expertise and IoT.
